Kew Steam Museum Model Railway Exhibition Saturday/Sunday November 20th/21st
2004
On
the weekend of November 20th/21st the Club's
"live steam group" had a stand at
Kew Steam Museum's annual model railway exhibition.
The club built a large G scale layout and
suplemented live steam with conventional LGB
trains during the time the "steamers"
were being watered and fueled.
The layout was so popular with the public
that the club has already been invited back
next year with a bigger display.
The club has several members with live steam
models in G Scale, but no formal live steam
group. The layout shown was assembled from
standard LGB parts just for the weekend.
However, the club does have a large "fine
scale" G Scale group, whose layout, Rica
Luno, can be seen in detail on our layouts
page.
